Il bosco nelle mani

Usando un ciocco di legno grezzo, potete provare, sperimentare, immaginare, costruire con le vostre mani. Potete vedere uscire dalle vostre mani trottole o sgabelli, potete usare strumenti antichi come tornio a pedale o coltello a petto. Vi proponiamo di provare a divertirvi con noi, e portare a casa qualcosa che realizzerete solo con le vostre mani, e con la forza delle vostre braccia. Vi chiediamo di ascoltare con noi il frusciare dei ferri sul legno, di apprezzare il profumo delle diverse essenze, di accarezzare superfici sgrossate, piallate o levigate con arnesi d'altri tempi.

Il laboratorio, articolato in più giorni, ha l'obiettivo di fornire le conoscenze rudimentali e fondamentali della lavorazione del legno: partendo dalla semplice conoscenza degli strumenti e selezione dei materiali di lavoro, si approderà alla costruzione di uno sgabello. I giorni di laboratorio saranno anche l'occasione per imparare tutte le informazioni, sensazioni ed esperienze che contraddistinguono la vita vissuta in simbiosi con gli alberi.

Using a piece of raw wood, you can try, experiment, imagine, build with your own hands. You can see spinning tops or stools coming out of your hands, you can use ancient tools such as a treadle lathe or chest knife. We propose that you try to have fun with us, and take home something that you will make with your own hands and the strength of your arms. We ask you to listen with us to the rustling of the irons on the wood, to appreciate the scent of the different essences, to caress surfaces that have been rough-hewn, planed or sanded with tools from days gone by.

The workshop is spread over several days and aims to provide the rudimentary and fundamental knowledge of woodworking: starting from the simple knowledge of tools and selection of working materials, it will lead to the construction of a stool. The workshop days will also be an opportunity to learn all the information, sensations and experiences that characterise life lived in symbiosis with trees.
